BURN BURN BURN (2007) A flame moves slowly over the wall, dances on the floor, up the chairs, down the table legs, where a trace of charred black remains. Inspired by Fred Astaire's Ceiling Dance, the flame traces a dancing path across the room, connecting and unifying objects.

In this performance we created a flammable paint, which, in its composition resembles the material of matchsticks heads. The paint was invented in the kitchen and optimised with the help of a chemist. It can be applied to most surfaces with a brush, or using a silkscreen and is available in many colours.
